Lambda Sigma Sigma Lupus Sorority, Inc., was an idea that came to fruition, by LaCasha Lee of Chicago, Illinois on August 13th, 2018. As a woman diagnosed with Lupus and a Diamond Life Member for 20+ years of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she felt that having a greek lettered organization, would stand out in the Lupus community, among all the other Lupus advocacy organizations. She also wanted to give women who wanted to join a sorority, a chance to do so.
